Like an arrow

Be like an arrow, when life pulls you back you shoot forward. – Najimu Sanada  Kyudo (Japanese Archery) teacher.

The story:

Sensei Najimu Sanada has roughly 17 years of experience in Aikido, a Japanese martial arts.  Met with sacrifice and lots of training.  The road traveled to becoming a teacher was a bit unconventional.  He had a teacher that was really hard on the students, to the point of injury.  Najimu himself was injured badly at least a couple times.   So one day the students began asking Najimu to teach them, and so began his new journey.  Eventually Najimu surpassed his teacher in rank.  The student became the teacher.

Call to action:  Persist, persist, persist.  Don’t learn helplessness.  Instead you can think about the pain of not attaining your goal or achievement.  It’s in the growing that there is success.   It’s the journey, not the destination.  What would it be like for you to finish that book? To attain that relationship? To reach that next level?
